Veteran stand up comedian, Alibaba, comments on the reaction of some person who commented on the joke about Covenant University Students, as he wrote on his Instagram page:
“You see why it is worrisome these days that people are bereft of any grain of that unique commodity called sense of humour. I told you about a colleague of mine who was MC and was walked out of an event because the chairman took offense when he said “Now let’s hear from the horse’s mouth”. I Also remember when my senior bros, Patrick Doyle, in the days of #FridayNiteLive, heard of the passing away of an NTA staff’s mum. I asked why every one was looking gloomy, Patrick said “His mum kicked the bucket.” One of the production guys provoke ooo. That he doesn’t like how Patrick Doyle plays with serious matter. I still recall the comedian I told to break a leg, 10 years ago. Still doesn’t talk to me. That is how enlightened we are now. People know nothing about ironies. Satires. SarcasmS. Metaphors. Similes. Oxymorons. Or ordinary hyperbole. Sometime ago one OAP who said “bros you don’t age”. I replied, “Yeah right”… and he replied you are welcome. @ammejetclothing just makes me begin to think that there might be some truth in the joke. Which is really what it is. But let’s not confuse this with body bashing. Which I know can be personal. We are talking ordinary jest. My people take it easy. Life is not that hard”
